Frequently Asked Questions
Maybe you will find the answer to your question here.
Please do not place the device in damp rooms, in direct sunlight or in rooms with high temperatures or large temperature fluctuations.
The drive is achieved by two rollers with drive rings that press against each other. It can happen that the record does not sit correctly between the drive rings after being inserted. A light pressure from above on the record helps to adjust it correctly.
Please check whether the rollers with the drive rings are rotating. If so, then the drive rings are simply worn out and need to be replaced. There are also records that "twitch" due to their specific material, deformation or their particular thickness.
The VINYL CLEANER PRO X can be used to wash LPs and 12"s of different thicknesses. The drive rollers adapt to the thickness. This can cause the record to "wander" off the axis to the left. This is normal and does not represent a defect.
In rare cases, the wet water wipers may produce a squeaking noise as the plate rotates. This usually stops on its own. If this is not the case, replacing the wipers may help.
It is important to avoid dirt residues and the formation of odors in the device! If the cleaning fluid is only minimally dirty, you can pour it into a sealable container and store it until the next use.
When refilling the device, air bubbles may form in the pump. This can result in the rollers not moving towards the record. Therefore, check whether the rollers are rotating and touching the record when the cleaning process starts. If the rollers are not moving, remove the record and press the spring-loaded round body between the gears several times. This will remove the air from the pump.
Filters, rollers, drive rings and scrapers should be changed after 500 washes and the cleaning fluid after 100 washes.
Place a cloth over the O-ring and roll it upwards with your fingertips.
